"I'm in love with Casa Bonita. This is my home away from home. Las Terrenas is a melting pot of culture with endless wide open beaches with nobody in sight. Our family just loved our time riding horses and drinking from fresh coconuts during an amazing sunset."

About Las Terrenas

Las Terrenas is a resort town on the Samaná Peninsula, in the northeastern part of the Dominican Republic. It's known to offer miles of protected inshore waters and beautiful, undeveloped white sand beaches, lined with tall palm trees and pastel-colored fishing boats. it is surrounded by gorgeous beachside communities named El Portillo, Cosón, and Las Ballenas.

The completion of a new highway in 2012 between Santo Domingo and Santa Bárbara de, Samaná has enabled easier access to Las Terrenas and the drive takes less than one hour and one half. Over the years the village's old fishermen's cabins have been slowly transformed into bars, restaurants, and shops saturated with the tropic traditions.

Trade winds and the warm temperature of the sub-tropical Atlantic Ocean bring this part of the island year-round comfortable weather. With a year-round average daily temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit, temperatures will vary only 18 degrees between summer and winter.
